Palm Court achieves high standard of care through well-organised structured staff training and education. Staff undertake a series of blended modules of e-Learning and additional specialist training from private providers and East Sussex County Council Training Department.
Blended learning mixes various teaching techniques, learning styles, and delivery methods. In most cases blended learning combines a mix of classroom meetings and content delivered online. In a blended learning classroom, the students have some control over the pace of their learning.
The combination of multimedia and face-to-face teaching, demonstration and discussions makes the perfect recipe for a rich learning experience. Staff can go back to the courses whenever they want so they can deliver great results over time. They analyse their activity and see where they are excelling and where they are struggling. This way they can improve their performance and optimize their service to the residents.
All new staff undergo an induction process which ensures they are trained, supervised and assessed. Once they are deemed to be competent then they work on their own. Our Registered Nurses undergo specialist training in diabetes, Parkinsonism, Venepuncture, Managing Syringe Drivers and End of Life Care.
