Our brand of nursing care focuses on caring and promoting well-being with emphasis on expert practice, formulating the goal of caring from the central perspective of “the world of the person” receiving care. What are we striving to achieve for each person we care for. Our residents can understand their own “journeys” through symptoms or long-term illness better than anyone and, in that sense, each resident is an expert.
We have developed a greater focus on the promotion of wellbeing through seeing Senior Citizenship, Dementia, and illness as a life experience and recognise the support we need to continue to live with conditions. Understanding of our residents’ experiences, feelings and stories are critical in formulating a comprehensive care plan. Such a partnership approach supports our residents' own strategies to improve health and wellbeing and do so in a dignified and respectful way.
We offer nursing care for residents who need 24-hour support. Our team of Registered Nurses are qualified to look after people with Diabetes, Dementia, Respiratory Conditions and Rehabilitation after an accident or stroke. Our person-centred approach ensures the resident is at the centre of all decision-making and their individual needs and preferences are clearly documented in their care plan.
Here at Palm Court, the sharing of critical information between the Manager, the Nursing Team, relatives and healthcare professionals allows for a collaborative response to any changing needs that have been identified. Our attitudes, beliefs, values and actions are guided by our concept of well-being and residents' needs..
