Meal times are not just about ensuring our residents get the right nutrition and diet - they are important markers that punctuate the day, giving structure and they are also a social trigger.
Eating and drinking is an event among friends and family, which has the potential to lighten moods and bring back fond memories of meals together celebrating birthdays or Christmas.
At Palm Court, we try to enrich the dining experience for each resident and make it more of a social event where carers are communicating throughout the meal, chatting as they assist residents. We also encourage other residents to sit with each other and enjoy a meal together.
Relatives are welcome to join any meals of the day. We just need 24 hours' notice to prepare and inform our Dining Team.
